Szechuan Pepper, or also known as Sichuan Pepper, is a spice from China's southwestern Sichuan province. The 'peppercorns' are infact, the dried berries from the Chinese prickly ash bush.

Szechuan Pepper is not hot like black peppercorns, nor does it have the strong aroma like black peppercorns. Szechuan Pepper has a unique aroma and flavor with mild lemony tones.

Szechuan Pepper is used on meat, stir fry, noodle dishes and used in sauces and infused oils.
