Vanilla Fudge Made With Shanez Vanilla Powder

There’s something special about homemade vanilla fudge. It’s simple, nostalgic, and full of that old‑fashioned sweetness people remember from childhood. Recently Robert, one of our customers shared their own vanilla fudge recipe using Shanez Vanilla Powder, and it turned out so beautifully that we had to pass it on.

Our Vanilla Powder isn’t a traditional vanilla bean product — it’s a heat‑stable flavouring blend that holds its aroma even when boiled. That makes it perfect for fudge, where high heat can cause real vanilla extract to fade. This recipe is quick, reliable, and ideal for anyone who wants a creamy, velvety fudge without complicated steps.

A stack of powdered sugar-topped beige fudge squares on a plate against a rustic kitchen background with a soft beige cloth.

Ingredients

½ cup milk

2 cups white sugar

25 g unsalted butter

1 heaped tablespoon Shanez Vanilla Powder

1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Method

Combine the milk, sugar, butter, and Shanez Vanilla Powder in a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, then continue boiling for exactly four minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla essence. Beat the mixture until it begins to thicken; this may take a few minutes. Pour into a buttered tray and allow it to set before cutting into squares.

A helpful tip from the customer: beating the mixture with a whisk adds extra air, creating a smoother, more velvety fudge texture.

“You can also finish the fudge with a light dusting of equal parts Shanez Vanilla Powder and icing sugar for a soft, sweet topping.”

This recipe is a perfect example of how simple ingredients and a little technique can create something truly comforting. Here’s to the small, sweet moments we make in our own kitchens — one square of vanilla fudge at a time.
